Ford Racing now sells a factory-engineered 810-hp supercharger system for the 2024-2026 Mustang GT and Dark Horse, backed by a real warranty.
The Number That Gets Everyone's Attention
810 horsepower. At 7,500 rpm. Out of a Coyote 5.0 that leaves the factory at 480. That's a 330-hp jump, and it's not some sketchy aftermarket build — it's Ford Racing Parts, part number M-6066-M8800, built in partnership with Whipple for the 2024-2026 Mustang GT and Dark Horse.
With active exhaust you're at 810 hp and 615 lb-ft at 4,800 rpm. Standard exhaust, it's 800 hp. Either way, that's a different car.
What's Actually In the Box
The horsepower number gets the headline, but the kit itself is the real story to me. This isn't Ford tossing a blower at you and walking away:
- Gen 6 3.0L Whipple inverted twin-screw supercharger
- Dual-pass intercooler
- 92mm throttle body
- GT500 port fuel injectors
- Colder spark plugs
- Ford Racing-specific calibration
- Tomahawk calibration tool
- Supporting intake hardware
Fuel delivery, cooling, spark, and the tune are all engineered together as one system. That's the difference between a parts pile and a package.
Price and How You Buy It
MSRP on the kit is $10,500, before install labor. What I like is how Ford Racing is positioning this — as a pre-delivery upgrade. Instead of buying a stock GT and modifying it after the fact, a customer can spec the supercharger as part of the purchase and have it installed before the car ever leaves the dealer's hands. The Warranty Is the Real Headline
Here's what actually separates this from a garage-built setup:
This is Ford-backed horsepower, not a hope-and-a-tune situation.
Installed by my team Gigi or an ASE-certified tech and properly registered through Ford Performance, the kit carries a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty. Ford says the system was engineered and tested to its 100,000-mile durability standard. That's the whole pitch here — you're not trading reliability for power, at least not on paper.
Two Things to Know Before You Order
If you're running a 2026 GT with active exhaust, this kit puts you in the 810-hp configuration.
Before you get too far down the road on this, know two things:
- The factory strut-tower brace does not fit with the supercharger installed.
- It requires 91+ octane, no exceptions.
Neither is a dealbreaker, just things to plan around before you order.
